Listing a tool is free and depends only on whether we can verify its facts from public sources. Sponsored placements are optional, always labeled, and never change a score, a ranking or a verdict.

Free listing criteria

We list a tool for free when all of these are true:

  • It is an AI security product, service, open-source project or course that fits one of our categories.
  • Its vendor or maintainer publishes public documentation or a product page we can cite.
  • We can verify at primary sources: the vendor, current status, deployment options, open-source status and license, pricing model, website, and at least three capabilities.
  • We can describe it accurately without claims that only a sales call could confirm.

We may decline or remove a listing that is deceptive, abandoned without a label, or impossible to verify. A listing is not an endorsement. Archived products can appear, labeled as archived, and are never a top pick.

How to request a listing

Write to [email protected] with the product name, its website, and links to its documentation and pricing page. We check each fact ourselves, so the more public sources you point us to, the faster the listing can be accurate. Requesting a listing does not guarantee one, and payment is not required or accepted for a free listing.

A vendor can sponsor a placement for a tool we list, or for a tool that meets the criteria above. The rules are the same for everyone:

  • A sponsored card is clearly labeled "Sponsored". On a category page it sits in its own box after the quick picks; on a guide it sits in the sidebar or after the ranked list. It never sits inside a ranked list.
  • It has no effect on any Coverage Score, ranking order, pick or comparison verdict.
  • The sponsor's facts follow the same sourcing rules as every other listing, and corrections follow the usual process.
  • Sponsored cards never appear on competitors' tool pages, on comparison pages or on legal pages.
  • We can decline any sponsor. Each sponsorship has a written agreement and a start and end date.

Ads and affiliate links

Display ads, when switched on, are served by an ad network and are labeled "Advertisement". We may join affiliate programs; their links are labeled and carry rel="sponsored nofollow noopener". We reject any program that requires favorable placement. Neither affects our scores.
