WitnessAI: AI activity control and data protection platform
WitnessAI is an AI activity control and data protection platform from WitnessAI. It is a commercial product offered as: SaaS. Pricing model: not published.
Enterprises that want network-level visibility and policy control over employee and agent AI use without installing browser extensions or endpoint clients
Teams that want shadow AI discovery, data redaction and an approved list of MCP servers for agents from one vendor
Consider instead if
You want controls inside the browser and on the endpoint, with coaching at the moment someone pastes data.
See Harmonic.
You run Microsoft 365 and want AI prompt DLP in Purview, with prompts and responses kept in the unified audit log.
See Purview DSPM for AI.
What WitnessAI does
WitnessAI watches AI use from the network rather than from each device. The vendor says it sees AI activity without browser extensions or endpoint clients, and its AWS Marketplace listing describes a single-tenant SaaS on AWS. That makes it the counterpart to Harmonic Security, which installs an extension and a desktop agent. One platform covers several jobs: Observe catalogs AI apps and MCP servers, Control applies rules by team or purpose and keeps audit trails, Protect redacts or tokenizes sensitive data, and an Attack module adds automated red teaming. Agent rules are enforced at the network as well, with an audit record for every blocked tool call. We found no public documentation, release notes or prices, so how traffic reaches WitnessAI, and what a device off the corporate network looks like, are questions for a demo.

Our editorial model, not a standard. The primary layer follows the category, except for tools whose main documented job is detection and response; other layers rest on a capability the sources document.

WitnessAI FAQ
Is WitnessAI open source?
No. WitnessAI is a commercial platform, and we found no public source repository for it.
Does WitnessAI need a browser extension?
The vendor's solutions page says it gives visibility across the network without relying on browser extensions or endpoint clients.
How much does WitnessAI cost?
We found no pricing page on the vendor's own site, only a Book a Demo button, so pricing is not published.
How does WitnessAI govern AI agents?
The solutions page says it enforces an approved list of MCP servers and tools, applies organization-level bans at the network for every agent, and writes an audit record for each blocked tool call. Because enforcement sits on the network, agents that run off it would need another control; the vendor pages we read do not cover that case.
We have no commercial relationship with WitnessAI.
